OLR Literals Bank (Prime)

PATH: System Administration > Data Utilities > Multi-Language Editor > OLR Literals Bank

This functionality is available to districts who have purchased Online Registration as an add-on service. For more information, contact the appropriate Client Executive.

The OLR Literals Bank allows the district staff to provide translation or provide additional clarification for options visible on the Online Registration site. Buttons, labels, questions and instructions can be displayed in the noted language based on the active languages created in the Language Groups and the parent's/guardian's selected language of choice.

Users can modify the wording of all pop-ups and validation messages as needed.

OLR Literals Bank

When parents/guardians log into the Online Registration site, they are asked to select a language. That selection determines what text appears when moving through the registration panels. For example, the text entered for the mailing address header displays when the parent is entering the mailing address.

Literals Bank - Address Instructions

Districts are responsible for entering the translation for each field and instructional content that is visible. This is not provided by Campus.

OLR Literals Bank Editor

The Literals Bank Editor lists the fields that can be translated into the available languages. Expanding the OLR Lists allows selection of a specific area.

English fields and instructions are entered and do not need further modification, unless the district chooses to provide more explanation.

There are three columns available.

  1. The Code column lists the field that displays for parents/guardians.
  2. The Translation column lists the text that displays in the selected language (selected from the Language Group/OLR Lists tree). This is the only column that can be modified. Users can add additional text for any Code in any language. If more instruction needs to be added, it should be entered in this column.
  3. The Literal column lists the English or original text that is available.

When the translation is entered and changes have been saved, the parent/guardian will see that instead of the literal text.

Spanish Translation

Enter Translations

  1. Expand the Language Group/OLR Lists to locate the sections to modify.
  2. Enter the translated content in the appropriate fields in the Translation columns.
  3. Click the Save icon when finished. The Online Registration panels will be updated accordingly.

The OLR Literals Bank allows the translation of fields on the OLR panels. Additional translation text needs to be entered on the OLR Lists Bank tool to translate the content that displays in the dropdown lists (for States or Address Prefixes, for example).

Completion Message

After parents/guardians submit the registration application, a message displays indicating the process is complete. This message can be modified by changing the text for the Receipt header.
